The certification stressed that local
and organic food products are purchased and used and that all
food waste, coffee grounds, and yard waste is composted. It also
noted energy efficient remodeling, including new windows and
compact fluorescents. Heat from the ovens will be reclaimed to
heat residential units in the future.
